The Cereal Bowl is the a fairly new franchise concept that features creative cereal combinations to suit your every mood – and possibly make getting up in the morning worth while again. If you’re heading off to the latest Cereal Bowl cafe, here’s what to expect.
A Trip to The Cereal Bowl
The Cereal Bowl looks like your average ice cream parlor at a glance, but stepping up to the counter reveals that the lineup of dispensers behind the staff members is chock full of your favorite cereal instead of soft serve, and the assortment of colorful toppings behind the glass case aren’t just for dessert. You’ll be treated with an oversized soup bowl of your favorite concoction, and can choose a customized mix, or pick something from the creative recipes available off the menu.
You have a choice of hot or cold bowls from the breakfast menu, with unique concoctions that your parents may have never let you experience:
The Sweetest Thing: Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Fruity Pebbles, vanilla wafers, and rainbow sprinkles
Morning Glory: Frosted Shredded Mini Wheat’s, strawberries, almonds, and walnuts
Give Me S’More: Golden Grahams, Cocoa Puffs, marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate chips
The Dirt Bowl: Cookie Crisp, Oreos, chocolate syrup, and gummy worms
Dad Knows Best: Oatmeal, strawberries, banana, and blueberries
Mom Knows More: Oatmeal, apple pie filling, caramel sauce, and graham bites
Haul N’ Oats: Oatmeal, maple syrup, raisins, Craisins, coconut, and walnuts
The full cereal offerings include over 33 different types of cereal, including ‘healthier’ starts such as Grape Nuts, Optimum Power, Optimum Rebound, and Raisin Bran.
The Cereal Bowl: Not Just for Breakfast!
The Cereal Bowl not only offers dozens of unique cereal combinations, but a full menu of parfaits, frozen yogurt, oatmeal smoothies, and most recently, exotic peanut butter sandwiches with a partnership with P.B. Loco. The parfaits and oaties offer a ‘healthier’ option for breakfast enthusiasts who want to skip the cereal bowl altogether, and also make for a great afternoon energizer. The frozen yogurt concoctions are known as ‘Freeze N’ Flakes’ and can be topped with any of the usual toppings, and of course, cereal. Espresso drinks, tea, coffee, and juice are also available.
