There are so many travel rewards credit cards it’s hard to know which ones you should get. To make things easy for you all you need to do is read on and find out which are the best travel credit cards.
Capital One offers two different travel credit card options. The first credit card is the miles rewards. The card is for people with excellent credit. The APR is 0% until September when it goes to 13%. There are no membership fees. You get 1.25 miles for each dollar spent. The miles ultra is the same with the only differences being that you get two miles for each dollar spent and it has an annual membership fee of $39.
The Blue sky card from American Express is more complicated. It uses points not miles. For every 7,500 points you get up to $100 off various travel including cruises. You get 1 point for every dollar. You can only save $100 on any travel expense and it takes $7,500 to get that $100. It does have 0% APR and no annual fee though.
Chase Travel Plus has the advantage of being about more then just flights with the disadvantage of a yearly fee of $29. It gives you 1 mile for a dollar or 2 miles if you charge travel related expenses. It has 0% APR for the first year. It also can cover the cost of the full expense.
The Citi Premier pass is another credit card that you might be interested in. There is no annual fee for this card. This card is also based on a point system. The points system is not as good as the mile system typically though. This credit card has 0% APR for the first year.
The miles credit card by Discover is a simple option. The miles credit cards give you 1 mile for $1. This credit card has 0% APR for the first year. There is no annual fee. No blackout dates and you can fly with any airline and use any service to signup for the flight.
The Starwood preferred guest card is interesting credit card option for travel. It has a $45 annual fee to join but with your first purchase you earn 10,000 points which is good enough for up to 3 nights at a hotel so just getting it gets you a few nights vacation free. The APR is high starting at 2.9% for 6 months then going up to 16.49%.
The Advanta Platinum credit card offers 5% cash back. It has no annual fee. The APR is 0% for 15 months then 7.99 after that.
The capital One no hassle miles credit cards offer a mile a dollar. There is no annual fee and 0% APR for now. This card is good for more then just hotels.
The final card is the VISA South West card. This card is has no annual fee and a low APR but it does not offer much. It takes $30,000 to get a flight regardless of where it goes and you are only able to use South West airlines that do not go to many places and do not go outside of the continental US.
The best card options are the Capital One, Chase Travel Plus except for the annual fee, Discover miles is simple and straightforward, the Starwood might be good to get once use it get your free vacation then get rid of it. The other cards are not as good and any using points are more difficult to get stuff from.
