Mother’s Day is a very, very special day. It is a day to pay tribute to that one very special person in everyone’s life: your mother. Everyone has one.
Unfortunately, some people’s mothers are no longer alive. This can be a very difficult time. There is always a Mother’s Day, every year. When you no longer have your mother, this day can be particularly difficult. There are many different things to do for Mothers Day to still remember and memorialize your mother. Whether she is here, you can get a gift for your mother. You can even get a gift she would be very proud of, if she were alive.
Once such idea is to donate to a charity that supports what ever she had passed from. If your mother had a heart attack, it would be nice to give to the American Heart Association, in memory of your mother. If your mother passed from cancer, give to the Cancer Society. You can also give to any particular cancer your mother may have had. You can give for any particular disease that took your precious mother. In this way you give a tribute to her and help a cause that may come up with some kind of solution to that particular disease.
Another idea would be to give to a church or synagogue, or place of worship. It is always welcome and usually much needed. Sometimes certain religious institutions will have specialty plaques you can buy. They will inscribe what ever you wish. You could buy prayer books with inscriptions also. This is a long lasting tribute, that you can see for yourself over and over again. You could also just give , in your mothers name, to the building fund, or the religious school. The church or temple usually will put your name, and donation contributions name, in the newsletter. This way everyone can see your tribute to your mother. You, of course, could always give enormously also.
I believe another great way to remember your mother would be to plant something. In particularly in this new ‘earth’ age. Plant a tree in memory of your mother. You could just plant a small plant too. This will become a daily reminder of your mother and her life. You can also plant trees now all over the United States, and I know, in Israel. You can look up different organizations that do this and send them money in your mothers name. They then plant trees, wherever you happen to choose.
On Mother’s Day, you could also volunteer for an organization that was important to your mother or to you. It would be nice to do something that you like or your mother was always involved in. You can volunteer for the day or all year. This is, definitely, always appreciated. This is a very nice way to keep your mother’s memory alive. It is a wonderful way to give a tribute to the most, or one of the most, important person in your life.
It is hard, on Mother’s Day, and really the whole year, when your mother is gone. The best thing you can do is still give a gift, in her name, to any organization you choose. It will help you feel better, and it will be a wonderful thing for any opportunity you choose! Your mother would be proud.
