When the average American thinks of an Emo Kid, they think of a teenager who has black hair, wears black tight clothes, cries in the corner, and is suicidal. The Emo Kid “jokes” come to mind, when thinking about the young trend.
“I wish my grass was Emo so it would cut itself.”
“How many Emo kids does it take to screw in a light bulb?”
“Three. One to replace it, one to write a poem about it, and one to cry about the old light bulb.”
When in reality, being Emo usually doesn’t mean you’re a suicidal teenager who cries in the dark by themselves every night.
Being Emo, short for Emotional, means exactly that; emotional. It means you fully accept your emotions and are not afraid to let everyone know it. It isn’t just about your style; it’s a way of life. It’s the emotional sensitivity that is directly linked to the music you listen to, the clothing you wear, the movies you watch, the way you interact with the people around you and the way you perceive your environment.
With that said, if you fit into this category of being an Emo Kid, that is Emotional Person, and you have your own MySpace page, then you may find the following list of MySpace Emo Layouts useful.
