Several news reports assert Kirsten Dunst checked herself into rehab for treatment. It has also be recently confirmed to People magazine that Kirsten Dunst is in fact in rehab at Cirque Lodge, located in Utah, by someone close to her.
Kirsten Dunst is a well-know American actress. She has had leading roles in such films as Bring It On, The Virgin Suicides, Interview with the Vampire, Marie Antoinette, Super-Man, Super-Man 2, and Super-Man 3. Dunst will appear in the film How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, which is set for release later this year.
The source that spoke to People magazine made these statements about Dunst entering rehab, “She’s not doing well. People were pushing her to go in there, but there was no intervention…It’s good she’s getting herself help.”
Kirsten Dunst is not the only celebrity who has sought treatment at a rehab center lately; several other celebrities have also entered into treatment.
Amy Winehouse also recently entered rehab in order to deal with her substance abuse problem. According to People magazine, Winehouse entered rehab on January 24th. Winehouse is an English jazz, soul, and R&B songwriter and singer. She has released two albums thus far: Rank in 2003 and Back to Black in 2006. Winehouse was scheduled to give a performance at this year’s Grammy Awards, for which she is nominated for six awards; however, whether she will be able to attend or not remains unknown.
Another American actress, Eva Mendes is also in rehab at Cirque Lodge in Utah. One of Eva Mendes’ representatives apparently told the New York Daily News that, “Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support.” It appears that Mendes is still undergoing treatment at the rehab center.
Eva Mendes has appeared in several films including: Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror, A Night at the Roxbury, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Training Day, Ghost Rider, Stuck on You, and We Own the Night.
Eva Mendes and Kirsten Dunst are being treated at Cirque Lodge in Utah, which is also where Lindsey Lohan was treated in the summer of 2007.
Recently, actresses Eva Mendes and Kirsten Dunst and singer and songwriter Amy Winehouse have all entered into rehab facilities in order to deal with their own personal issues.
