Finding the right kind of hair shine is not as easy as it seems. While there are always a lot of varieties to choose from, it is important to shop around and find a product that will best suit your personal needs.
I recently went shopping for some hair shine. During the cooler winter months, my thick curly hair becomes dryer and harder to manage. It also looks duller and fairly lifeless unless I take action to correct the deficiency. In the past, I used to use a lemon scented hair shine. Although it made my hair look like it had been professionally styled and my hair looked every bit as glossy and healthy as a hair model’s, the product was very oily and it left my hair smelling like a lemon grove. With that in mind, I wanted to look around for a product that would deliver the same visual appeal to my hair while nourishing it, but without the greasiness or overpowering scent. This was harder than I thought it would be.
The first shop I visited was a specialist hair product shop. I felt sure that the shop would carry a hair shine that would provide the results I was searching for. However, I combed through every shelf and I could not find a single hair shine product! In the end, I just gave up and decided to look elsewhere. I finally came across Citre Shine, Shine Mist by Schwarzkopf from Wal-Mart. It cost $2.86 for the 89ml (3fl oz) bottle. While I was expecting to pay more for a hair shine product, I was pleased to settle for this cheaper hair shine product. But would Citre Shine, Shine Mist by Schwarzkopf provide me with the results that I was looking for? Would my hair look healthier?
A few days after I purchased Citre Shine, Shine Mist by Schwarzkopf I put it to the test. I shampooed and conditioned my hair and then towel dried it as usual. I waited for a few more minutes and then I applied Citre Shine, Shine Mist by Schwarzkopf to my hair. I did not notice any visible difference to my hair, so I waited and then sprayed a bit more of the Shine Mist into my hair. The most obvious difference I noticed was that my hair felt softer and smoother than usual. Citre Shine claims that this is an anti-frizz spray laminator that “protects hair against damage… tame frizz and treats split ends for a soft, smooth finish.” My hair felt more nourished and healthy, just as I had hoped it would after using this product. While it did not leave a really glossy shine to my hair, it did leave a faint shine that made it look healthy. I would recommend this product.
